The Mechanics of Leaderboard Movement
Leaderboard positions are relative. A team's rank can change for two reasons: 1. Direct Performance Delta: The team submits a higher F1 score and jumps over existing teams. 2. Displacement Delta: Other teams submit higher scores, pushing downward all teams below them even if their score remained unchanged.

Across the 16 checkpoint transition comparisons: - Maximum Single-Checkpoint Rank Climb: Over +4,500 positions in a single update. - Maximum F1 Score Delta in One Step: +0.877619 (PlayItSmart moving from 0.107769 to 0.985388). - Average Active Climbers per Checkpoint: 300 to 500 teams moving upward concurrently.
